I Fontanini is a 15th- century hamlet located in the beautiful Regional Park of Sassi di Roccamalatina, near Zocca, in the Province of Modena. Situated 650 m. above sea level, it has breath-taking views over the rolling hills and deep valleys of the Emilia Romagna Appennines.
The six- hectares estate is cultivated with fruit and chestnut trees and guests have free run of delightful walks along C.A.I. tracks.
One-day visits can easily be made to the great cities of Florence, Modena, Bologna, Ferrara, Parma, Ravenna and drives round local roads reveal all sorts of hidden treasures and villages. Excellent restaurants and shops are nearby.
The Ferrari Museum in Maranello is just 25 km away.
The area is famous for Parmesan cheese, Balsamic Vinegar and Colli Bolognesi wines and we organize trips to local producers.
We also organize historical excursions to the World War II Gothic line.
